Gamecube has a black screen and no sound

I did not solder to anything but i did remove all the ports except the AV port and i connected it and the screen is just black and i was wondering if anyone new how to fix this problem or came across it because ive only had the cube for one day lol

Can you test any of the main voltage lines with a multimeter to see if there is voltage there? That would indicate there's a short circuit causing it not to power on. Some of the pins left behind from removing the ports (if there are any) may be shorting out.
