Is there a 7805 regulator on the Flashback board? If there is, it needs more than 6V to work. If you have a 9V battery laying around, try that, just to see if it works.

Yep, its a got a 7805. I was thinking that it could using anything over 5v. I'll test with a nine volt if i can find one.

Good news everyone! (Watching futurama right now)

I found a rechargeable 7.4volt battery, 650 mah. Even though its a very low capacity, it should give me a bout 2-3ish hours of battery life. And, its powered by a quick charger, so its about 1 and half hours of chargetime. Lovely compared to other batterys.

That battery should be strong enough to power the Flashback when you hook it up to the 7805.

I've never used tact switches before, and google didnt help me. What are the leads on them?

Connect the diagonal opposites. For example, your up wire to the top left, your ground wire to the bottom right.

Disappointed here. My 7.4 volt battery just wont power the board, but Its full charged and it can power leds, so I dont see why it wont power it up.

Anyway, I'll probably just have to use alkaline (565 mah) or lithium ion (1200 mah).

I made the D-Pad, I'm going to mount it on perfboard tomorrow when I get more glue sticks.
