My new m11X doesn't have a CD/DVD drive. I want one though just incase. I need a reader and writer. Compact too.

I also want to pick up and external 1TB hard drive. Help meh

Does your laptop have eSATA or are you stuck with USB 2.0? eSATA will be much faster, but you might wind up having to buy a drive and enclosure separately and put them together.

Why do you need a terabyte drive? If you're planning on running software off it you're better off swapping the internal hard drive with a bigger one.
