so for the megadrive i will be useing the zn case and the ps1 screen it will have a cart slot for playing games from carts it will play pal and ntsc and it will have a SD card slot for playing roms.

Which console are you using? One of the new portable clones? (I don't know how else you'd get the SD-card function) Glad to see someone improving on them. I look forward to this.

its got a really small board and has the pal,ntsc switch.

small update
got my screen apart and the blaze megadrive

when i took the blaze megadrive apart i found that the pal/ntsc switch is a three way switch and on the board
it says pal/ntsc/jap so looks like it will play all games witch is cool.
and have marked out the layout of the screen and buttons

am just wating for the gamepad to come in the post and have got some of them tact switches with buttons on them
that hailrazer got (great fined there)so that it for now.

So do you plan on including both the Blaze unit and the gamepad in the portable?

got the gamepad today

it came with sonic loaded in had a bit of a play and it is ok.
so i then took it apart.

this is the side with the sd card slot

sorry pics are crap just had my phone
yes i will be puting the blaze and the game pad in it.

but the best bit about the gamepad is the manual here are some quotes from it

in order to use the product normally.please open the packaging

can add more games from different ways

carefully use the game do not put it into water and prevent to be fallen it down from high

That gamepad looks pretty small! Also, is it NTSC or PAL? I want one!

Also, isn't having two clones in the same unit overkill?

dont no if its ntsc or pal does not say and my tv plays both
have bin haveing 2nd thoughts on puting two clones in may just go with the blaze
and save the gamepad for something else.

2nd update
so got round to working on the megadrive today.wired the screen to the battery and wired the megadrive to the screen to test.

but before i took the pic i wired the + and - on the power lead the wrong way round and something fuesed it still works but there is no sound.
so i need some help to get sound or is it busted.

new update
not had any luck with the sound so am going to get a new blaze bidding on one at the moment.
my tack switches came today though they where going to be green but they where blue

so started on some case work cut out the screen/d pad/and button holes.

It looks like it would be a little more comfortable with the D-Pad and buttons higher up...

Even so, you could probably slant them half a centimeter to the right.
