did my batteries go kaboom?

I'm trying to run my portable off 7.4v batteries (which used to work) and now the psone screen doesn't turn on any more. Took the ol multimeter to the batteries and they still give the correct amount of voltage. Hooked the portable up to the ac adapter from the psone screen and everything works just fine.

Remove the protection circuit.... should do the trick. They fry pretty easily.

You can do this briefly to make sure the batteries are still spitting out the correct voltage, but don't run them this way for too long for safety - fully discharged LiPos are potentially dangerous.

Disconnected my batteries from the protection circuit and tested them, I get a solid 8.15v. Turned the unit on and no video. Connected a different battery pack and everything works fine.

EDIT: The battery pack that some how loses some of its voltage and there for can't power the psone screen are 2x 3.7v wired in series to give 7.4v.
