Well my wavebird was looking sad and all the buttons looked old. I decided to switch the buttons and paint the case blue. This is what i got.

I didnt clear coat but I was going to grab some next time I go to the store. Any brand recommendations?

Krylon clearcoat

Always clear coat.
Don't leave it with out clear coat for too long or else the paint is going to start getting scratched up.
I love this too much , Now go get some clear coat.

No, it doesn't suck at all, it must be the second thing you said.

I don't like glossy either, but I want some protection against scratches. It's worked well for that.

You can combat glossiness by clearcoating. Clearcoat is satin.

At least krylon brand is.

I used krylon satin clear coat, and it looks glossy to me.

SUPER fine sand paper will take gloss off.

I'd try 1500 and then 1000.

i think 1600 grit is mirror finish, so that's not it.

just don't start with 1000 just in case
