Finally cracked and bought a 32gig iPod Touch. It's now jailbroken, so I was wondering about your suggestion for apps and games. Already have:
Installous
Comics XKCD
Crayon Physics Delux

Not putting emulators on it except for Scummvm as I have a PSP for that.

Why won't you get emu's? I have a NES and Genny one with, like, 150 games for each. Only takes up 1GB, too.

GP2X is alot easier, but PSP has way better emulators tbh, and the D-Pad is easier for old games.
