1st Gamecube Portable WIP

I was influenced by gman's 2nd gamecube portable (Gamecube-U version 2) so I decided to make it similar because I liked his design in other words my portable was influenced by gman's gamecube u version 2 (however mine doesn't look as good as his, mine uses a different speaker grill design than his,his portable has batteries internally while mine does not because of space (incorporating external 12v battery), gman also uses the dual tact method while I use real triggers from a gamecube controller). Unfortunately I don't have a worklog of my portable because I didn't write down my progress but I have pictures of when I first made it this year. It was all made under a tight budget.

7'' Generic Car Monitor from ebay 27$
Wii U Protective Case 5$ from ebay
2 Generic Gamecube Controllers from Five Below 5$ each
Gamecube Revision A/B DOL-001 board w regulator (flea market bought a gamecube for 5$ working)
Start button tact switch
Original GC fan
Iluv portable speakers (5$)
Screws from gamecube console
metal mesh screen cut to fit a 12v fan to cover the hollow GC cutout
Sorry some pictures are blurry I used my iPhone 4s camera which explains why.

What it looks like now:

It's about 60% done, but I still need to find another generic gamecube controller to swap the L trigger out and implement it in the portable and also I need to get a WiiKey fusion and MegaDrive V5 chip ( which may be more than 100$ which is not bad. I might incorporate is external battery power to power the gamecube through the original power adapter that came with the gamecube. One problem I am having though is when I tried to power on the Gamecube with the original power cord. The screen will turn on and the gamecube will turn on amber, the screen comes on but there's no sound and video its just a black screen. The gamecube fan turns on when plugged on. There is no shorts on the board because I checked the board. is there anyway of telling if the board is fried? Thanks

Oh ok sorry about that. I used bondo auto body filler which I bought at homedepot for 11$

The only glue I used was hot glue to hold the pieces of the gamecube controller to the case on the inside and I used bondo on the outside to make sure it bonded together with the case. and sanded it down.

Yo bondo is only good for body filler and has really no adhesive properties, and that hot glue with soften when you run the cube. Epoxy, specifically loctite for plastics is much better.
