Hello Modretro members, I am here to gain knowledge and experience on how to Mod. Including on how to create portable systems(ex.N64,PS2,Sega Dreamcast the works!). I am interested in building portables due to the fact that I find it truly interesting on how a home console system can be taken and transformed into a portable. Not to mention on how well built these portables I've seen are made.(viewing pictures of them on this site along with the video's on youtube.) So with that being said, I am interested in building a portable n64 as my first attempt. I'd like to know any and all information or guides you have to offer in creating a n64 portable.
Side note: I have basic knowledge on electronics and understand that my first attempt at a portable should lean more towards the Sega Genesis or the Nintendo Entertainment System then a Nintendo 64 do to their simplicity. Any advice given is well appreciated. Thank you for your time and hope to make friends with everyone.
