Zenith 5" screen cutting

Ok, so I looked at the guide, and it looks ok.

I also noticed that in your worklog Nobble, that you just cut the top off the screen, can't I do that? I just need it to fit inside a ZN-40

Do I need to do the LED mod if I cut off the top of the board?

Also, just wondering, if you look at a 7805 head on, is It pronged:

In, Ground, out

OR

Out, ground, in

Me thinks the first one.

If you cut the entire top off with the transformer then yes you have to led mod it.

If you cut off what I said to cut off then no you don't have to led mod it.

You will either need to cut it where I said to get it to fit , or cut off the transformer and led mod it to get it to fit.

Yea there's no need to led mod a ps1 screen for it to fit in a Zn40 case. You trim the top off to where it is level with the top of the transformer, and trim the bottom off right at the A/v plugs. You will then have to solder the A/V because you just cut off the plugs, but that is just 5 or so wires :)

Could you show me a diagram of this? Also, what should I use to cut, Exacto or Dremel?
