Stupid question: The light inside the oven is starting to go and I wonder if it would be alright if I replace it with a CFL. I'm concerned about the plastic and lead melting and/or the mercury inside the CFL getting on the food which we put in our mouth.
Worst idea ever. The plastic that holds the the guts in the base is made of plastic. I don't think you can even use standard lights, there might be special oven lights.
