Wiring controller board to buttons

Quick question on how I wire these to an original official nintendo 64 controller board.

In my picture I wired the A, B, and C left buttons. Which way was correct? All? None? Some? lol

C and A work theoretically but you can't solder to the black stuff. Just solder one side of the tact switch to the small orange circles next to each button and the other side of the tact switch to the large orange circles (ground). You can also follow the traces back to the chip and solder the tact switches directly to the chip. This would allow you to cut the controller on both sides.
