Wii U

Zelda demo looks cool, but the graphics aren't incredible. Definitely a step up from the Wii, though. As for the controller, it's going to be expensive, has potential that will probably be wasted, but more importantly has immense hacking potential. I wonder how hard it would be to interface one with my PC. *Can'tSayThisOnTV* Zelda, I'm playing CSS on that thing. So I may buy a controller if it gets similar PC support to the Wiimote. Not the console though, I'm not interested.

That has to be.. the best idea i've heard in a very long time.

I wonder what the max. distance can be between the console and the controller. It would be nice to actually be able to move to a different room when playing on the controller only.

And why were all the scenarios they gave for switching to the controller about their father watching sports?

Palmer probably knows that one. He thinks he knows what tech they are using.

That would be nice to know.

Use that Tech in a Xbox 360 or PS3 WVI.

Has anyone found a sub 7" LCD with HDMI in?

That's a demo showing off Killer Freaks from Ubisoft. Apparently it supports all the controllers, and if you use the tablet, you use it spatially with the gyroscope, sort of like one of those VR helmet games. The guy playing it blows, but I think it could work very well. You actually look around physically, seems like it would be immersive. Later on, they a demo of local multilayer, in which one guy with a CC Pro has to defend against attacks from the tablet guy, who has a birds eye view and can send out aliens. This kind of demo just seems really cool to me; even if the game blows, the Wii U can do some cool things. Oh, and I think this is the first retail game to be demoed in real time, on an actual Wii U. Looks pretty.

interesting. so you do dual-analog controls AND gyroscopes for fine-movements. I have to see how that feels to play.

I want to see augmented reality games on the wiiU.
some of the demos did kinda have that feel to it, pointing the controller at the screen and getting a different view of things through the controller. I think somebody will make it happen.

It is just a guess, but I think they are using WHDI tech licensed from Animon. I have some WHDI developer boards, and a 5.6" 1280x800 LCD that I am using to make a PC/360 WVI.
