Wii RVK-CPU-02 Gamecube Ports Mod?

I know that the new wii family edition does not come with gamecube ports but I tried soldering them on the board using bush's pin out and the gamecube controller did not work is there anything that I am missing because i tried to use the wasp fusion and the controller did not work

I think you might have to swap your system menu version to an original wii vs. the family edition. I don't even know if this works.

The system menu and IOSs are exactly the same. I believe there are some other components you have to solder on as well to pass the data. I haven't done it myself but that's what I've read.

Interesting. Are you sure you have soldered them all to the right place? Not on the flip side of the board? Nothing is shorted?
I haven't tried soldering to the system itself, but the hardware and software are both the same, so I wouldn't know how it would be different.

I'm not saying you are wrong or did something wrong. I have never done it myself, so I'm learning from this as well

Well it doesn't matter now because I trimmed the bottom ground part which I thought wouldnt short but it did and now my system won't turn on any suggestions ?

Sand the edge. The wii has lots of layers. They probably shorted out. Make sure they aren't short. Sand sand sand sand until its silky smooth

I believe there are several smd resistors and capacitors that need to be soldered in place for it to work... I don't know where and which kind exactly but if you compare a white mobo to a black/blue one you'll see what I mean.
