B Bobplayer Member May 7, 2013 #1 Which resister should i use for the ptn78020wah for the 8,5v line of the Ps2?
S SNEAKxxATTACK Active Member May 7, 2013 #2 googled the datasheet http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/slts228c/slts228c.pdf (find in page) ctrl+f "calc" 5th one found the equation Vmin to use is 2.5V Rp to use is 6.49kOhm Vout to use is 8.5V (desired output) Rset is the resistor you asked for. Rset = 54.9kOhm * ( 1.25V / (Vout - Vmin) ) - Rp In general, the parts you buy, will have a datasheet from the manufacturer and you will often find an equation like the above.
