Where to find a WKF / WASP?

Hey guys,

I took back my portable gamecube recently, but I learnt that the WKF / WASP was not any more produced.

I looked on everything at the European, French, English sites, there is no more stock (badassconsoles.com including).

I would like to know if there will be of other WASP on the site of mega, or if you know a site which(who) still sell WKF / WASP.

(Sorry for my english :neutral2: )

Thx. Multi.

I was unaware production of the wasp had been discontinued. Is there a successor, or are GameCube modchips done for?

Is the IC on the wasp a documented/standard chip or is it some completely custom IC?

Well the bitstream (bytecode) of an FPGA is protected by AES

The firmware for the FPGA is readily available in a hex format. The process Mega would have to go through would be very similar to the one the people at WASP went through. And as we know the WASP is a lot smaller than the WiiKey, if Mega works some magic in Eagle he may be able to shave off a couple mm. Also he's designing it so he could always make one end plug-able to the gamecube DD or make the pads line up instead of using FFC.

Then again he may be doing things the good old fashion way, using a logic analyzer to decode the way the gamecube disk drive handles read requests and how it sends data back. But that process is very tedious and I'm not sure if Mega knows how to program in FPGA design languages. So this one may be less likely. I bet he's making a clone.
