What wattage soldering Iron?

Im am going to do a n64 p and I want a new soldering iron, I was wondering what wattage would be good? 15-25 or should I go higher? thanks for looking. Help is appriciated.

There is no real need to go higher. I find that anything above 10 watts works for most things. (but boy, it sure feels nice to have the power of my 70 watt behemoth in hand)

Is my ajustable iron at 8-11 Watts at 950 degrees a good choice? It's still in the blister pack...

Sorry for jacking your thread, Racedriver!

Wattage is the wrong question.

A good quality 25 watt iron will do much better than a crap quality 30 or 45 watt one. I use a Weller WP25 and love it. It costs around $30-$40 and is A LOT BETTER in so many ways than a Radioshack cheapy. The tips are better, it heats up faster, more comfortable, the list goes on. Of course, at 25 watts it struggles just as much as the Radioshack cheapy with some things. But for portabilizing, it's great. Get an ST7 or similar small tip, the stock one is MASSIVE.
