I'm new to moding, i have this old DVD player and was wondering how i could use it. i want to make an n64 portable with it could someone give me some ideas? thanks

You'll only be able to use it as a screen if it has a composite input.

I suppose the second screen probably will have a composite input that you can use through the connector, but the screen in the main unit might not.

it has video and audio input and an "av or din" switch (i don't know what that is) i just need to know how to make it a screen

That's it.

You just input AV into the AV in port, and stick the switch on av. Done.

No, no.

The secondary screen is just a composite screen.

The main unit just has a composite output to it.

It's like mario's 7" screen from the sprocket, it's a screen from a dual screen dvd player. I have two of em, well, not for long, sam will have them soon

Generally DVD player screens are wired up through RGB, so if you want to you can use that, too.

Mind you, you need to keep the entire dvd player motherboard intact.

Not necessarily, the good majority of screen's I've opened have had the backlight inverter and the screen board separate from the actual DVD player.
