What do I need to do to get an audio amp into a GCp?

I have my Birthday coming up in 2 months. I plan on getting all the needed personal tools for modding, as before now I've had to mooch off of my dad's. I will do some stuff before a GCp so I know what I'm doing, but where do I put an audio amp, and where can I get one that's awesome? I've looked at stuff for a GCp, and know what I'm in for, but I don't know about sound.

P.S: Also, any way to put in a slider type of thing? I really liked the nice slider volume control on my GBA SP, DS Lite, and still do on my 3DS.

The audio signal is too weak to handle speakers. You need to amplify it so you can output some significant sound.
The reason you can hear your GC through your TV is because the TV has an amplifier and does that for you.

The audio amp you use depends on your speakers. If you want to use the really tiny kind of DS Lite type speakers, you need a very low wattage amp, like a small portable one made for phones. Some other large portable amps are higher wattage and as such are compatible with larger, higher wattage speakers. Being able to use a slider depends on the type of the amp. If it has button controlled volume built in, then you most likely can't use a slider. But if it's a simpler amp you should be able replace the potentiometer with a slider since they're really the same thing.
