Weird inversion thing.

i just installed a backlight in this guy:

and I'm not sure if this is a stupid question or if it's an issue with my soldering or something, but it seems that when adjusting the contrast wheel, my backlit lcd will display both normally and inverted. so, for clarification, when the notch in the contrast wheel is at its standard center point, my screen appears normal, but when i move the contrast wheel downward, it becomes inverted.

wat do?
like it's not something that really bothers me, but I'm just not sure what the deal is! I can provide pictures if my explanation sucked.

yeah, i've never had it happen before. so i'm a little curious as to the cause.

Maybe the pot for the contrast is slightly off. Because you can do this on the newer Gameboys, too by adjusting the pot normally found somewhere around the battery area.
