Voltage?

pLover

Apparently plover is a type of bird.
My batteries are only giving out 7.11v when they should be giving out 7.4.

How low can the PSone screen accept and still work?

I think it's like 6.9V

should work. And your batteries may be giving out less voltage if they're not fully charged.

XD

11 IS WAY HIGHER THAN 4, YOU'RE GOING TO FRY IT FOR SURE.

Was my first thought.
Try charging them, you'll find that they output closer to 7.7v. It's a range, that's why we have regulators. :D

But the PSone screen isn't turning on, even with 7.11. Where do I check on the mobo to see if the screen is working?

maybe your battery power is absurdly low and can't sustain the 7.11v when actually being used.

What's that?

And I have no idea what's going on. I got it in the mail, plugged it into the PSone and it didn't work. Then I modded it up a little to the SNES and it still didn't work, so...

why didn't you return it if it didn't work?

maybe the fuse is broken. Try to bridge it. Does the backlight work?

I got it from nobble, not the eBay guy. I'm trying to figure out everything that could be wrong before returning it because A) He doesn't have the money he would owe me if I returned it, and B) because this is the third screen I've gotten that, for some reason, stopped working. I've spent about $200 on these things and it's really starting to piss me off.
