Using a 3DS-slider in an N64controller; best accuracy?

Hello!
I am looking to find the best possible way to use a 3DS-slider as the main analogue-stick in a N64 controller; togheter with the best accuracy and sensitivity.
I am sure there are many more ways to do it than I have listed below. Either way, I have summed it up into 3 possible scenarios:

1. Solder the 3DS slider onto Micro's PCB, onto a third party N64 controller. Like here:

2. Solder the 3DS slider onto a Lodgenet 64 PCB, onto an original/third party) N64 controller. Reference:

3. Solder the 3DS slider onto a third party controller with resistors. Like here:

Any ideas/thoughts?

Have a good day! :D
