it looks more like it's in the proper position to have the buttons push down on the screen where the controller buttons on a nes emu would be.
that's just my guess though.

from what i know the itouch doesn't use a stylus type touch screen, it is more like a heat sensor. i've tried using a stylus and have had no results.
