Serious interference?

I know tchay posted this earlier but I can't find the thread.

The phoenix is almost done but I'm hoping to reduce some bad interference I'm getting.

It's most likely because of removing all the filtering caps on my cube but at this point replacing them is not an option, anything else, I've replaced the wire with some nicer stuff but didn't help much.

I was hoping some kind of inductor or something as a filter.

Are you musing shielded wire? That stuff is amazing. Also, a toriod and a backwards diode on the power line helps. Snap on ferrous cores work too.

I'll try the snap on ferrous core.

I've got IDE wire going to the output but it isn't near anything with major power coming out. I'd just like to avoid rewiring that spot as that would involve uprooting the whole portable internally.

Just for giggles, strip a rca wire, like a shielded one from a console or from a dvd player. Wire it up to the screen and ground the shielded bare wire in the rca cord to the screen and to the Gamecube.

Solved all my problems.

IDE will cause all kinds of interference.

I found that adding a ~10uF CERAMIC capacitor on the Component-ground helps get rid of stuff like this.
You can more or less ignore the ferrous rings, they only work around areas with high voltage fluctuation, so an AC adaptor or something similar.
Also make sure to use shielded wire for the video connections.
