SDGecko for Save Files Only

I purchased a SDGecko to install save files for Gamecube games on a Wii/Gamecube.

Every single Gecko "How To" guide I've seen was for using it for CFW, on youtube and including this site as well. Is there a reliable source that can assist me in setting it up?
