this baby will probably be in modretrothon. but if i dont get it done, it wont. obviously.

specs:
-Ps2 slim (schph 79001)
-modified initial RB-270 9v battery (10.8 amp capacity, nearly 4 hours of battery life.)
-6.4" widescreen LCD (newer revision of sprocket64's screen)
-slim analogs from a madcatz retrocon
-9"x5.5"x unknown thickness, probably ~2"

first test with batteries and screen. screen at full brightness, running SoTC. ran for 2 hours, 19 minutes, on an unmodded RB-270.

currently testing battery life with the doubled battery.

and the image quality is great. thats composite. and it looks better in real life. my cell phone camera makes it look icky.

She just hit the 4 hour mark, and hasnt shut down yet. im running SoTC at full brightness, in widescreen, with a controller plugged in, with no sound. (or rather, no speakers. sound is on).

i find that battery life quite acceptable.

shut down at 4 hours, 13 minutes. not bad for the first charge on the cells. :awesome:
 
snow. nobody has you to thank for anything. you had the stuff, and you didnt make an epic portable with it. so someone who would actually do something with the awesome parts had to acquire them. :awesome:

and, i did have a backup for both screen and ps2 so, really, you didnt change anything.

anywho, progress shold be starting soon. ive got the plastic all marked, so a few long hours with a razor and i will be able to start.

additionally, i have motivation now. i realized im going to the bahamas next thursday, and i wanna bring it with. (sitting in the air conditioned hotel room, playing Xenosaga through again, *PLINK* yeah!)
