S-Video on the 3.5” ebay screens?

Has anyone tried S-Video on the 3.5” ebay screens? I bricked mine and in debugging it I saw that the Video Decoder on mine is the TI TVP5150AM1 part. If someone has a working board with the TVP5150AM1 part it is worth a try, might get around some of the PAL issues also.
From the data sheet section 5.2.1: Input connector: S-video (AIP1A (luminance), AIP1B (chrominance)). AIP1A is connected to AV1 and AIPIAB is connected to AV2 like the schematic on page 82 of the datasheet.
AV1 connected to Luminance (Y) and AV2 connected to Crominance (C) should auto detect as S-Video

The TVP51xx product family FAQ also talks about this some more and also says it should autoswitch.

The screen I broke that had the TI TVP5150AM1 part was screen 3 and I never got it working again to try. The second screen I got was screen 2 (widescreen looking one) and it had a different part on it that the number was sanded off. This screen with S-video attached only shows up in B&W so it won't work on all ebay screens.
