RGB modding the N64

I was wondering on how you RGB mod the n64 because I soldered the R, G, B, and C-sync from my n64 to the correct spots on the screen and it never showed up.

I know there is a 5v pin around the RGB pins do I add 5v to that spot?

Also, is there any RGB grounds that are just for RGb that have to have a negative wire to them?

Lastly, I am using the composite video for my A/V output jacks, so I already have 3.3v going to my N64. If you do need that 5v pin for RGB can the N64 handle haveing 3.3v going to it and another 5v for the RGB? So, pretty musch I need both composite and RGB working at the same time. RGB for the screen and composite for my T.V.

Just a side note. I did this on my Darth64 and just went back to composite. Rgb was not an improvement.

I thought that you finished your n64p without anything frying...

S-video is possible with any revision, you just have to solder the plug on right. I forget how though, but mario made a thread about it on benheck.

no, I mean s-video from my N64 to screen.

Also, do you remember what the name of the topic was because he has 77 pages of topics. I really don't feel like going through all of that.

I searched S-video, but nothing came up and I really don't know what else to look for.

As i recall you can only do svideo on a pal psone screen, unless I missed something, andway the guide is on the screen forums on benheck.

The "first" board I was referring to was from an N64p project I attempted when I was 12. It used RGB, as I read on benheck it was better. I used composite on my current portable.
