resetting router passwords?

My router has a built in firewall that prevents me from using fun things like PSN and multiplayer games. If I want to get a port unblocked I have to call the ISP and have them open the port for a fee, which is what I had to do for FTP and xbox live.

There is a reset button on the back of the router which I believe sets it to factory defaults and removes the password to the router config. If I reset it, will I have to worry about losing any settings that the ISP had to set?

On most routers you have to hold in the reset button for 30 seconds and it resets everything back to the way it was when it came out of the box.

Most likely then the Isp will have to set it back up if they are the ones who put custom settings on it in the first place.

Did they put the password on it ?

Also most routers are Login : admin and no Password , just leave it blank. Or Password: Password , Or Password : 1234

And despite the runaround, if it came with a password from the isp, you should call them.
