Reset broken after board trim, please help.

Since I trimmed my board the reset button isn't working anymore. I then went ahead and completly removed it. Now I just have two wires from the RESET and GND pins of the PIF to a push button. But it still doesn't work.

What traces are needed for a successfull reset? I must have trimmed one away.
What exactly is supposed to happen when the RESET pin on the PIF gets grounded? Does the PIF send the reset signal to the N64 cartridge slot?



Please help me I need the reset function back
