Question on GC analog stick

So I'm following bentomo's guide on replacing the GC analog stick with the n64 stick, and it says you can use various 3rd party controllers. Does anyone know if the superpad64 works? Not the big bulky one, this one-

I've seen hailrazer replace it, but I need to know if bentomo's guide will work with it.
