powering a snesp

I know that in Ben's book he says you can power the snes mini with the 7805 from the psone screen. However I don't plan on LED modding mine, so can I just do its even with no led mod, or do I need to take a trip to "the shack" to get a new 7805?

replied on benheck too. Yes, you can. The led mod uses very little current, but if anything there would be less of a chance of it working with the led mod because the led's use some of the current too.(not enough for anything to make a difference though, mind you)
