Pirating isn't seeing a good future.

I don't see why piracy is such a bad thing.

Companies grow because people pirate stuff, funnily enough, people are quite recultant to throw out £15-45 on something randomly, they'd rather have a taster first, if I know thats good, no worries with the rest of their material wether it be music, movies or games right?

Maybe people wouldn't be inclined to pirate if things weren't such a ripoff. Like photoshop, it's like $500. Nobody can afford that. On the other hand, more piracy means less sales, which means companies have to raise prices. Kind of a vicious circle or feedback loop sort of situation.

I generally don't pirate modern stuff unless they're a ripoff, as XGVG said. The only software I have ever *theoretically* pirated were FL Studio and some plugins. Paying $600 for a "decent" plugin is crazy.

Guys if I was you I wouldn't be admitting to any form of pirating, and keeping discussion a bit more, er, theoretical.

Just in case.
