If you contact megalomaniac about that Component Cable and are willing to sell the cable cheap I'm sure he would be willing to give you that discount back in support for your portable

I have a PAL GC board. So I don't think VGA-mod would work?

yes it will as long as it isn't a rev C. Heck, maybe a Rev C can work if you wire it directly to the CPU

PAL Games don't output 480p exept for one and that's Luigi's Mansion. All the rest is 480i via RGB Scart.
And as far as I know, VGA doesn't accept interlaced.

swiss allow you the option to force progressive display with 480/576 resolution for most titles....
also any modchip will allow you to play ntsc titles which have native progressive support...

No The Q reads Jap games Natively.
The freeloader is for those Who just want to buy the games.
