[Noob] GameCube "Notebook" ?

Hey Guys,

me and my Friend want to build a portable Gamecube. We decided to build it into a suitcase as a "Notebook". We want to take a Gamecube, take the Hardware and build it into the suitcase. We have to connect a Display, Battery and Sound to it, how?

Are there any german forums?

Are any german people here in the Forum?

Is it very difficult to build, what i tried to describe?

why would you want wlan on a gc in the first place?

I often see portable GCs with an SD Card. How to do this? What do we need for this? Because maybe we even want to build a Handheld GC, but only if we're finding a way to create a Case..

SD cards are used with a modchip, either the Wiikey fusion or WODE. This is done because the disc drive is huge, and using an SD card eliminates the disc drive from the equation.

The next hhing we need is a Screen of course... I think the GC has 4 so we need a resolution of 320x240 or 640x480. A 3.5" Screen seems really small so we decided to pick a bigger one (if we finally find one -.-)

Of course we read about the PSone Screen but its very expensive (more than 50$ for us its more than 40€, from US so we have to Pay the Shipment!).

So does anyone no a Screen, larger than 3.5" with a Resolution of 640x480 we can use for a GCP?


We also thaught of the case. Maybe we want to create one with the vacuum technique. What kind of plastics should we take? any good links?

Relatively sure you dont want to use vaccum forming on cases that are rather large (a notebook sized) but check with someone who knows what they're talking about.

There's lots of screens larger than 3.5" with 480i / p see psone screen (you can get cheap, bush is trying to sell one atm), zenith screens, or dalian good screens (if you have money to burn)
