I am going to make my own case. PM me if you want to buy the old one. I also found a cheap audio amp at best buy for like $10. It has a digital potentiometer on it so the volume control is tactile switches. The only thing that makes me sad is that it runs off of 3 volts. Are there any points on the xbox slim board that runs 3 volts?

No, not really. 5V is available though.

Post a pic or look up the datasheet for the chips. It may be able to run on more.

I decided to run it off one of the usb ports. It works perfectly.

So today I got some more work done. I cut the lcd power board so that it only has dc connectivity. Everything is now running off the xbox psu. I also decided I am going to keep the humongous seahorse case since I can fit everything inside easily and I already have all the parts here to finish it. I cut some more plexi today and it was smooth sailing. Now all thats left is to put everything in the case. Give or take some case work and drilling. But everything should be done very soon.
