I looked into the P-Cube a while back and I'm pretty sure the Disc drive is the same. I think what is different is the daughter board.

Now, emu_kidid has reassured me that the compatibility on his DD-replacing hard drive will be good. He even said audio and speeds would be at sufficient levels. Lets hope. I've had enough of the god dang disc drive

Totally forgot about him, I was unaware that he was still active in the GC scene. Then again I forgot there was a GC scene.

This reminds me, awhile back I saw a replacement laser for the gamecube that looked nothing like the stock one.
It also reminds me about the dvd drives they use to rip gamecube games with rawdump.

I would be interested in seeing it, might save us(Tchay and Zenloc) even more space.
