N64 Resistor and capacitator

Hi, im trying to build this step down regulator

Will this capacitatator and resistor work?

Capacitor? I think so. Resistor? That resistor is intended for surface mounting. I think this should work, but wait for someone who knows what they're doing to verify.

Our voltage megasticky should have some regulator guides, why does it not?

That capacitor should work, but don't get that resistor as Prog noted. You want a standard resistor, and one rated at 1.8k ohm might suit you better. Sometimes 2k can drop the voltage a little too much.

You technically could use a SMT resistor to keep things extra compact, but a steady hand (and some tweezers) would be required. It would be fairly useless when using a full size cap anyway.
