I didn't want to put any more pictures into the finished topic, so I'll post them here.
The N64 is made of 'hobby glass'. And the fans are actually working and needed, because I had to resize the heatsink. I hope these pictures shed light on the important parts
I milled an edge into the material for the side panels to fit in perfectly:
These holes are actually sanded by hand
From a CNC milling machine
