Alright. A few days ago I relocated my cart slot, before this, I opened up my n64 and tried it, it still worked. The led turned on. So I relocated it, and turned it on, nothing happened. (The LED didn't turn on) Also, the TV changed just for a second then went back to its regular blackness. (When I say change I mean it basically went to a different tone of blackness but it was still black. It's really hard to explain). Then a few minutes later I realized I relocated the cartridge backwards. The cart slot was turned around (Numbers and arrow not facing the controller ports). So I desoldered the cartridge slot, turned it around, then soldered it back. Plugged it in, turned it on and.....No go. Nothing happened. LED did not turn on. Anyone wanna tell me what happened?

When you tested it was there a Jumper or Expansion pak in there? If yes, try a different one. If no, put one in.

Other than that check for shorts. Wires touching any other wires or a ground connection on the board.

I've tried both expansion and jumper paks. I've checked for shorts, there are none. I've ran into one problem though. During a double check continuity check, pins 1 and 2 on the board from right (bottom right in picture). Would make a beep every time i continuity checked them. (I put one probe on pin 1 and one on pin 2 BEEP! same the other way around. It would also beep when I put it normally pin 1 to pin 1 and pin 2 to pin 2.) I looked at the wires but there was nothing touching! Any idea what happened?

Lots of pins are connected, some being grounding, power at a few different voltages, and some unused pins.

So today I wanted to take apart and put together my PSone lcd screen and what do you know I break it! Just like everything else I *Can'tSayThisOnTV*ing touch! Woohoo! So the sound works but the screen is pretty much all white, there's really nothing else to say..

Its not broken. The ribbon cable that connects the actual LCD to the circuit board is loose. Gently lift the brown clamp that's on the tan connector and pull out the cable. Put it back in straight and press the clamp back down.

Take it out and reinsert it straight and all the way.

Now he backed out of it. Thanks, guys.

Also, for $10, I was going to fix it, trim it, and relocate the cart slot.

Playstations.

THAT'S a good deal. Just fixing it? No. But all that stuff. Yes. How much are you trimming it?

Essentially GND strips and a bit off the back, as to not make him tap video off the fuses for his first portable.

I also told him I would RCP wire it for $30.

that is a good deal.

Well I don't even need trimming because it fits perfectly in my case, so...5 for fix?
