Mod a push switch to a tact switch??? Is it possible??

I have a sound amp which has a on/off push switch. That means the contacts stay together to turn it on. I want to change it to a tact switch.

Meaning I need some circuitry to have teh tact switch make it go on and off.

I have no idea what kind of circuit would do such a thing anybody idea's??

2 pins connect on a 3 way switch I wouldn't know how to use this diagram as it has a input and a output. All I have is a on/off switch.

tact switch connects the 2 pins for a moment the other switch holds it in place. Or would I need an extra power source to use daftmike's circuit??

Sorry it's a bit rough, hopefully you can make it out ok, you connect the battery to the left-hand side and the load on the right. Pressing the switch will turn the circuit on, pressing again will turn it off, after switching off there is a delay of about 2 seconds whilst C1 charges before you can switch on again
The transistors can be changed for equivalents, Q1 can be any low-power NPN (2N2222A, 2N904, BC337 etc.) Q2 can be almost any N-channel MOSEFT (IRF530, IRFZ44, STP36, BUZ71 etc.)
