Mobo on top of batteries. Is it a bad idea?

So my lay out for my gcp is going to be from the bottom up batteries, regulator, mobo, heatsink/fan, and dd. Is this a bad idea?

Well, if your batteries are sitting right on top of your heatsink, it might be an issue. I'd say just put a nice layer of thick paper in between them.

Sorry for trollish typing. I was trying to figure out how to detach the mobo from the bottom of the case. Any help?

It's not a good idea to put the batteries right against the board, even if it is on the bottom side. The bottom still gets very hot and can cause your batteries to overheat and swell. That happened in my first N64 portable, the Retro64. One of the cells is a little swollen. In my 364, I'm putting some kind of insulation between the board and the batteries.

Yeah, some type of insulation is probably your best option.

I used 2-3 layers of aluminum foil covered in electric tape connected to ground for insulation/interference shielding. Seemed to work in my GCp 2.
