Alright, I haven't modded anything in years (with the exception of minecraft and a nerf gun
), but I'm looking to get back into things with a portable N64. I'm trying to plan as much as possible to avoid frying any systems. The only pieces of the portable I could really use some advice about is the battery, charger, and wiring. For the battery, I thought this would be a great asset to the portable:

I plan on using a PSone screen, and I've already received the TI PTH08080WAS to get the 3.3 volts for the N64.
For the charger, I think this will work, but say something if I'm wrong:

One last thing: I've got some 20awg wire for the power connections, but its obviously to stiff and bulky for slot relocation. Has anyone had experience with something like this:

I know its made for those little dupont connectors, but I think that will make soldering to the pins easier, and they seem pretty maneuverable.
