Hey guys, the other day i got myself a new n64 that i was gonna turn into a portable but i figured i would have some fun with it while i wait for my stupid step-down regulator to get here!

and i always wanted a light up controller

Spectacular! I thought this would just be a "LOL, I changed the red power LED to blue!" (something I actually did), but this is actually cool! What color is the N64? Black? You should do this to a clear N64 for added coolness.

oh my god yes!!!!! (reminds me of what ima do on this one portable. its got colored leds all over inside, and its frosted clear)

yea i have a black n64 so i couldnt do much but i do have a friend who has commissioned me to add leds to his light blue n64 so that should be fun ^_^
also i think i might try to rig up a color changing led to the n64 logo light cuz that i think would be awesome ^_^

it would be spectacularly cool to wire an rgb color shanging led (full spectrum change, not just red, green, blue) to the thermocouple on the cpu, with a microcontroller. set it up so when the n64 is cool, its blue, and as the temp goes up, it becomes red, so perfect dark wouldmake it all red and awesome.

nice bump, but since you did...cheack this out.
i would say it could be modded for a n64, except that an n64 probably doesnt get hot enough to even change the lowest colors.
