JB-64 A Nintendo 64 portable V2.0

Screen's backlight went and borked. Ordered another, I also ordered one of those sunon micro fans. Fans are not needed for the n64. I tested this board for 4 hours in a box full of padding and no ventilation. It did not crash, but holy balls it was hot. Of course, it won't get this hot in the portable, I just want this one to be as good as possible. It wouldn't be very nice having to hold a burning hot portable :dah:
Also, I'm probably going to paint the back and the end panels black. I was holding the white front piece with the unpainted back piece, and my-oh-my did it look hawt.

Not sure if that's a sexual reference, not sure if I really want to know

More of a racial joke. Think public transportation.
Actually, I hadnt thought of that. Really I hadnt thought about the connotations at all. Sam posts without thought and doesnt afraid of anything!

Disaster has struck. :gonk:

So I was painting the end panels and I decided to clear coat the front half of the case like a good little modder.
WORST
*Can'tSayThisOnTV*ING
IDEA
EVER

The paint cracked instantly like super dry mud or some flax. Now my once perfect and I mean perfect case now looks like utter *Can'tSayThisOnTV*ing flax.

Now I must know before I do something stupid,
Will paint thinner affect JB weld/bondo/loctite epoxy putty? I'll be damned if I have to remake this entire case.

What kind of paint/clear coat did you use?

If you mix types you can sometimes crack it. :p

Krylon fusion is the only thing I use. Actually, it's the same paint/clear coat I used on the original JB-64. Dunno what's up

paint thinner has been known to eat plastic. But only if you let it soak for awhile. Id sand the flax out of it, let it sit in some thinner, and then repaint. Is very sad, this, by the way.If I were there I would render unto you an hug.

I feel the love Samirah <3

I just took it for a spin on my electric sander, it's looking up, not very good, but better.

Oh, painting it all black this go around. :(
