Issue with my GC (LID OPEN)

Hello guys i hope someone can help me with this problem!
I have a game cube that always have the Lid OPEN, but when i was playing Resident Evil 1 (remake) the game need's a dvd 2 to insert, but my lid is broken, someone have a solution? my chipmod is Viper 1.2

If i PRESS A the game cube stops if B works fine

You could wire a switch, like a tact switch or a NO switch that the lid presses when its down.

Using a soldering iron.

I'm pretty sure he means what pins go where.

Each blue wire is soldered to the board the switch went on. You can take the two wires and solder a new switch that connects the wires when the switch is closed.
