How do I split a GC controller?

like how SS had half of his controller on one side of the screen and the other side of the screen on his gcp 2.

Cut the controller board where you want too, sand the edges of the split board(s), and reconnect the traces with wire.
Or, you could do the method shown in Kasar's guide.
Another method would be to mount tact switches underneath the buttons, and run wires to those, like bacteria showed in one of his n64 videos.
