How can I makes mah own LED light bulb?

Well, depends, is it just a generic Fluorescent light with the funny base that goes in any light socket?
Or is the lamp MADE for Fluorescent bulbs?
If it's made for Fluorescents, you're in for some work.
Now, if it's your generic bulb that'll go in any standard socket, then it ain't too hard.

Now if I had a standard power cord and attach this to the end will it work? Or do multiple outlet extension cords need some kind of circuit?

See I want to take my standard desk lap with it's large base, and add 2 sockets to it to make it heaver and more useful!
