Help a newbie out?

Hey, uh, modding newbie here. I'm looking to get into portablizing consoles, and want to do something incredibly basic (what is incredibly hard for me) with my GameCube. What I need to know are the bare essentials and all that.

I'll say it again: I'm looking to do something simple. Simple thing: fitting a PSone screen onto my GameCube and perhaps get a battery pack inside the thing. Not looking to strip it down to handheld size. I'll do that with my spare GameCube if this goes well. Just looking to rid myself of wires. Oh, additionally, does it take a ton of work (and/or money) to get a Wiikey Fusion up and running?

So yeah, any kind of help (even directing me to an existing thread or written guide on doing what I'd like to do would be fine) is much appreciated.

It's for a Revision C gamecube(powerboard inside of motherboard).

The only you need to wire:

Batteries, screen and power.

Whoops! I have a revision A-B (both of my consoles). So this just became a bit harder, huh?
