Hello am new here and need a jumping start.

Hello am new here in the world of system mods and hacks and i just wanted to know if any one would know of or has(had) any instruction(s), knows of any websites with instructions, or just any tips or for-warnings for me in my new project(s). I plan on trying to make a portable version of some older systems for my friend and I's own amusement. A first I my start on would obviously be the N64 or if plans fail the Game Cube.
So I would be glad of you to give me some info of any to help me out whether it be large or small and I thank you for reading this. If any of you need contact info just to shoot me an E-mail, (message me first or write on here.) I have a you-tube channel HatoBlueWolf.
